Licensed Professional Counseling

I am a licensed counselor, currently practicing virtually for Washington and Oregon residents. I’m passionate about helping individuals and families who believe and desire to improve their relationships.

Background and Education

Prior to psychotherapy and during my schooling, I worked in a variety of customer service jobs, traveled the world, and created art. Interacting with people in stressful environments and experiencing different cultures gave me an in-depth look at daily struggles and challenges of human beings which often left me wondering ‘why do people do what they do?’ Naturally being a curious person, this question has led me in my journey of becoming a mental health practitioner. It began with receiving my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University in 2008 and later my Master of Art in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from George Fox University in 2015.

Since 2014, I have consistently gained experience by working with individuals, couples, and families in both community mental health and private practice settings. For my first two years in the field I primarily worked with kids/teens and their families, by creating connection between children and their parent through filial therapy, child-centered play therapy and parent child interaction therapy (PCIT). I have experience facilitating narrative therapy, and solution focused therapy within the family structure.

Experience also includes: working with disconnected young couples working on communication, time management, and preparation for marriage, individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and past trauma, Christian counseling, working with Eastern European clients, and those with disordered eating.

To maintain my licensure, I am required to participate in continuing education and coursework in professionally relevant content with a portion of the material related to ethics and diversity.
